PHRYGIA. Apameia. Circa 88-40 BC. AE (Bronze, 22 mm, 9.72 g, 1 h), Antiphon, son of Menekles, magistrate. Bust of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet and aegis. Rev. AΠAMEΩ[N] - ΑΝΤΙΦΩΝ / ΜΕΝΕΚΛΕΟΥ[Σ] Eagle with spread wings to right, landing on maeander pattern flanked by caps of the Dioscuri surmounted by stars; above, star. SNG Copenhagen 164. SNG München 110-1. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
